Making one's dream come true.
Your dream is something that you set your heart on to make real. Anything can be your dream, be it money, fame, or love. Someone who has realized what his dream is will always want to make it come true as soon as possible. But only some are able to reach the point where it happens. Why is it so?
According to me, there are two reasons for this: First, in many circumstances, what people consider as their dream is someone else's dream that they carry on their shoulders, maybe of their parent, relative, or guardian. Either such people have not given much thought to realize what their dream is or they have realized it, but due to some external reason, they are not able to follow it. Hence, their dreams remain suppressed one way or the other. Second, for those who know what their dream is, it is not enough if you just know about it and wait for it to miraculously come true on its own. Most people keep waiting for the right chance to initiate the steps towards the dream which more or less never comes. And hence, that dream becomes a thing of the past in no time.
It is not that accomplishing dreams is something that only a selected few prodigies can do. It doesn't matter much if you come from a rich or poor background, you can accomplish your dream. To do so, qualities like excellent communication, leadership, and networking skills will definitely prove to be a plus point. But the following three qualities must be a part of your life:
• Dedication: There's a big difference between a dream and a mere desire. The former is something that you can dedicate your life towards and the latter is something that you merely want to get to pleasure yourself. You need to be dedicated to your dream. You need to have strong willpower and a deep desire to act as fuel for you in your exhausting journey towards your dream.
• Discipline: Discipline is equally important as Dedication. Making a strict routine that includes all the elements necessary for the long-term plan and following it regularly is crucial for success.
• Initiation/Execution: As I mentioned earlier in the article above, most people keep on planning what they should do but never execute. The perfect chance to start is never going to come for those who keep waiting. Only a couple of days of planning is enough to initiate the work towards your goal.
Some more qualities like patience, vision, self-belief, and curiosity are also vital for accomplishing dreams. Finally, the most important thing is keeping the will to achieve alive. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam said and I quote "A dream is not something that you see while you're asleep, a dream is something that does not let you sleep."
